Etude House Fix and Fix Pore Primer Review

Ever checked your reflection in the mirror to discover your makeup is not where yous recall leaving it? That information technology really shifted, migrated or pulled a Houdini? Our expectations are completely normal, we utilize information technology and wait it to stay. Information technology'due south just that color makeup is notoriously unfaithful.

Then what practise we practice? Well some of us prime number and wish for the best. But the truth is, a lot of us don't like that extra chore of priming. I mean you lot already have a dozen products on your face, an additional ane simply seems like it's tipping over into "excessive" territory. Honestly, if I didn't take to, I probably wouldn't want to prime either.

Yet for me, information technology'due south essential. On days that I forget to, I pep talk myself in accelerate considering I know the ugly is bound to come. I really prime number for a number of reasons. For one, it somewhat controls my oil production. Primer holds my makeup in place. It too blurs my imperfections and the craters that are actually my pores. And last but not to the lowest degree, information technology prolongs the wear of my makeup until I'yard set up to have it off and not just yous know, leave without a proper farewell.

Back when I got into primers, I knew of but a few types but holy has the market for primers expanded. It's no longer just for "normal" and "oily" skin types. At present there's tinted, mattifying, illuminating, Silicon-gratuitous, anti-aging, moisturizing primers and some fifty-fifty come with SPF.

I usually look for a few things when I purchase primers: one that tin can i) reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles 2) go on oil production to a minimum and something that 3) enables my makeup to concluding longer

Etude House Fix and Set up Pore Primer 25g

The gel-blazon primer in pare tone finer covers pores and uneven texture, makes skin texture look smooth, and keeps makeup fresh for long hours.

I got this around the same fourth dimension I got the Etude House Double Lasting Foundation. There was a particular primer that I loved back then only was discontinued past Etude House long ago. While it wasn't perfect by any means for my oily skin, it created this perfect canvas that actually helped my makeup glide on smoothly. How I wish it were still effectually. But I have no time to grieve considering my makeup doesn't expect for anyone.

Then let'south take a wait at the Ready and Fix Pore Primer. It really doesn't come up out all that smoothly from the tube. It ever makes a very airy uneven exit when I clasp it out of the tube. Yous know the kind that might earn you a few glances. While it'due south tannish beige in color, it will look transparent once y'all sparse it out (Encounter picture below).

This primer looks tannish in color just leaves no trace of its color one time it's thinned out. Information technology volition be transparent and so fear not!

As yous can see, this primer does do a pretty decent task at blurring those imperfections on our pare.

It'due south incredibly velvety and easy to spread. Information technology does have a scent that I tin can't seem to place. I can't tell if it'south peachy or floral or possibly a mix of both. But it'due south a pleasant odor, nothing repulsive. Once yous thin it out, it'll feel powdery soft to the touch. It's incredibly lightweight so you won't feel any heaviness from the product at all. I've tried a lot of primers and sometimes they do feel a bit suffocating on your skin. And in a way it makes sense since it basically sets up this barrier betwixt your skin and makeup. This i doesn't feel heavy at all and I quite similar the texture.

Less is better when it comes to primers. You really don't need much for it to effectively work. Always apply primer sparingly because too much could hands cease up sabotaging your makeup. You too want to look a minute or two to permit the production settle before applying your makeup. Inadequate time in between makeup applications can cause pilling so be patient.

Interestingly in that location are several other primers by Etude House that offers color correction along with SPF33, however, the Fix and Fix Pore Primer does not include whatsoever SPF. And please note that a newly released Tone-Upwardly primer in Apricot looks very similar to this in appearance but they are entirely different products.

While I will say information technology's not great at reducing sebum production, it'due south a slap-up base for makeup to go along top of. Information technology reduces the appearances of pores, wrinkles and fine lines and evens out my skin nicely. It'due south also groovy at prolonging the wear of makeup every bit well. If you lot don't have enlarged pores, and would like something that will help reduce the advent of redness or brighten up your slow skin, the Tone-Up primers might be a better fit.

The proficient:

  • blurs fine lines and reduces the appearance of pores
  • creates a great canvas for makeup
  • affordable- 12,000 KRW
  • enables makeup to concluding longer

The bad:

  • does not reduce sebum product

Since dimethicone is 2nd on the ingredient list here we tin can't ignore its major role in this product. Is this a potentially pore bottleneck product? Yes and no. In the end, information technology comes downward to how well you remove it. It can definitely worsen acne prone peel and clog your pores if you don't properly remove it by double cleansing. Since silicone forms a barrier over your skin, it can trap, clay, debris, dead skin cells, and bacteria which of form is something nosotros can't overlook. At that place are a lot of pros and cons and I think it comes downwardly to the individual and their personal choice. Some people avoid products with parabens while others are okay with information technology, equally is the case with silicones.

To be fair, this production does what it's supposed to which is to fill in those pores and enable makeup to glide on effortlessly. While I wouldn't consider it my absolute favorite, it'due south still a very decent product by Etude Business firm.
